Sometimes the ludicrous and messy allow us to represent ourselves more accurately and freely than perfection-driven beauty. 

I am a curator of found objects and methods. My practice is driven by action and a tendency to make a lot out of what is already there. 

I am interested in the space between the ordinary and the uncanny: how something familiar can become strange when displaced, and how something overlooked can become charged with new meaning.


Madison Hurm gets wild in her Savannah, Georgia home studio. She has lived twenty-six places in twenty-six years of life, which has given her the challenges needed to attain her creative skillset which include painting, drawing, sculpting, design, minor carpentry, research, and writing. In 2020, she placed second in the Dr. Martin Luther King Art Contest held by the St. Cloud Technical & Community College Foundation. She graduates with a B.F.A in Painting in November of 2026.
